Abstract

Se divulga un método y un aparato para utilizar una pluralidad de portadoras de enlace ascendente y una pluralidad de portadoras de enlace descendente. Una unidad inalámbrica de transmisión/recepción (WTRU) activa una portadora de enlace ascendente primaria y una portadora de enlace descendente primaria, y activa o desactiva una portadora de enlace ascendente secundaria en base a una orden proveniente de una red o tras la detección de una condición preconfigurada. La WTRU puede desactivar la portadora de enlace ascendente secundaria en base a la inactividad de la transmisión del E-DCH, un estado del buffer, una condición del canal, o limitaciones de potencia. Cuando se activa la portadora de enlace ascendente secundaria, se puede iniciar la transmisión del canal de control físico dedicado (DPCCH) en un período de tiempo predeterminado para iniciar las transmisiones del E-DCH. La potencia de la transmisión DPCCH inicial puede basarse en una potencia de transmisión del DPCCH en la portadora de enlace ascendente primaria o en un valor senalizado por una red. Se puede utilizar un valor de asignación por defecto para la transmisión del E-DCH inicial tras la activación de la portadora de enlace ascendente secundaria.
