Abstract
En el campo de la ingeniería genética en plantas se describen, combinaciones de polinucleotidos que codifican LMP para mejorar los rasgos agronomicos, hortícolas y de calidad. También combinacion de polinucleotidos que codifican proteínas que se relacionan con la presencia de compuestos de almacenamiento en semillas en plantas. Más específicamente, polinucleotidos LMP que codifican proteínas del metabolismo de los lípidos (LMP) y el uso de estas combinaciones de estas secuencias, su orden y direccion en la combinacion, y los elementos reguladores utilizados para el control de la expresion y la terminacion de la transcripcion en estas combinaciones en las plantas transgénicas. En particular, métodos para manipular compuestos relacionados con ácidos grasos y para aumentar los niveles de aceite y almidon, y para alterar la composicion de ácidos grasos en plantas y semillas. Además, métodos para utilizar estas combinaciones de polipéptidos para estimular el crecimiento de la planta y/o el crecimiento de la raíz y/o para aumentar el rendimiento y/o la composicion de compuestos de almacenamiento en semillas.
