Abstract
Se da a conocer un método y disposicion para el tratamiento de la presbiopía y la pre-presbiopía que no comprometen la vision intermedia ni de lejos del usuario. La disposicion consiste en una lente y una serie de lentes, donde los perfiles de potencia de las lentes están adaptados para conferir una cantidad de potencia de adicion positiva en la zona de vision cercana que es ligeramente inferior a la que normalmente es indispensable para la acomodacion para ver de cerca, en tanto que también confiere una cantidad de aberracion esférica negativa en la zona optica periférica. Los factores oculares dinámicos del ojo del usuario funcionan en combinacion con la potencia de adicion positiva provista por la zona optica central y con la adicion efectiva adquirida merced a la aberracion esférica negativa provista por la zona optica periférica para inducir una cantidad mínimamente apreciable de imagen borrosa que está adaptada para maximizar la profundidad de enfoque del usuario.
