Abstract

Un método para producir nootkatona por medio de la oxidacion de valenceno catalizada por lacasa. Valenceno y una composicion que tiene actividad lacasa sehacen reaccionar en presencia de una fuente de oxígeno, a una concentracion de valenceno mayorq ue 0,1% para formar hidroperoxido de valenceno. Opcionalmente,también pueden incluirse un mediador y/o un solvente a una concentracion que mantiene la actividad lacasa. El hidroperoxido de valenceno se degrada para formarnootkatona, y luego serecupe ra la nootkatona. El método produce nootkatona con rendimientos comercialmente viable.
