Abstract

Se relaciona con un método y un aparato para de manera automática desprender o separar desde placas de base de cátodo de aluminio planchasde cinc depositadas por electrólisis. Tal resultado es obtenido empleando un mecanismo separadorqu e tiene un único conjunto de brazo separador movibleangularmente, y movible linealmente en el costado de una fila de cátodos suspendidos verticalmente en alineación paralela entre sí. El único conjuntode brazo separador es de maneraautomática movido y puesto en alineación con cada cátodo y luego movido angularmente de modo que las cuchillas montadas enel extremo del conjunto de brazo separador penetran forzadamente enatre la placa de base de cátodo y las planchas decinc adherida s en cada cara delcátodo, y luego dichas cuchillas proceden a desprender las planchas de cinc desde la placa de base de cátodo. Esta operación es efectuada hasta que sondesprendidas las planchas de cinc adheridas en cada cara delcátodo. El aparato está provisto preferiblemente con ruedas para permitir su movilidad.
