Memorial Weekend 2024: Open Friday – Monday
Happy Friday again! This particular Friday is leading into Memorial Day weekend, and Parrish Ranch will be open today through Monday.
We have a fresh batch of sauces, marinades, jellies, and jams for your perusal—if you’re taking the opportunity to barbecue on this long weekend, check out our selection for some flavor inspiration. Along with a newly restocked wine aisle with everyone’s favorite varieties, we also have fresh-made chocolates at the candy counter, and lots of tasty options at the snack bar.
If you feel more inclined to take some quiet moments for reflection this Monday, our picnic park is a serene place to relax with your thoughts, or you may enjoy peacefully browsing the art up at the Oak Glen Gallery, the timeless artifacts at Parrish House Antiques, or for those with little ones, the fun toys and children’s books at Granny’s Attic.
However you choose to spend your weekend, we hope you’ll join us in remembering those who gave their lives so that we may have the freedom to enjoy everything this beautiful country has to offer
❤️ 🤍 💙
Happy Mother’s Day 2024!
Happy May!
Happy May! It’s a beautiful time on the mountain, with the trees in full bloom as this season’s apples begin their growth. We’re still pressing cider from the late-season apples picked earlier this year, so it’s a sweet blend even with no sugar added.
The mornings are still overcast, but by midday we’re set to be mostly sunny with highs in the sixties all weekend. Next week, the valleys are headed for summer-like temperatures with highs in the eighties, so pick up a gallon or half-gallon of cider to keep you refreshed even when you’re off the mountain ☺️
We hope everyone has a great weekend!
April 12 – 14: Springtime at the Ranch
It’s going to be a beautiful spring Friday in Oak Glen today, with sunshine and a forecast high of 60–perfect weather to grab an apple burrito at the snack bar and enjoy in our picnic park 🧺
Tomorrow and Sunday are bringing the April showers that May flowers need, and you can enjoy the rainy ambiance as you browse through gifts and goodies at the shops, then cozy up to a plate of delicious food at Klüddes Restaurant. We’re not expecting any snow in the lower elevations, just a light dusting on the peaks, so bring your camera and a jacket to enjoy a lovely spring weekend with us 🌺
March 2024 Update: Kluddes Cast Iron Restaurant Open and Serving Delicious Food
We are happy to share that Klüddes Cast Iron Restaurant at Parrish Ranch is open and serving absolutely delicious food, with the friendliest staff ever ☺️ Their initial hours are Wednesday through Sunday, from 8AM – 1PM for breakfast and brunch, and back for dinner from 4PM to 8PM, with hours subject to expand in the future. Enjoy comfort food surrounded by warm and cozy ambiance, and don’t forget dessert—their apple pies are incredible, and we certainly know about apple sweets 😉
The rest of the shops at the ranch are open Friday through Monday from 10AM – 5PM, and we’ve got lots of fun things to find. If you’re looking for gifts, for yourself or others, consider an art piece from The Oak Glen Art Gallery right across from Kluddes, or a hard-to-find item from Parrish House Antiques, nestled in the old Sequoia forest on the north side of the ranch. Or, if the gift-recipient is younger, check out the selection of interesting and unique toys at Granny’s Attic. Right next to Granny’s is Et Cetera, where you can find fine home décor and collectibles.
And of course, down at the barn, we’ve got the fixins you’ll need if you feel like adding some pizazz to your recipes, along with apple cider and wine for refreshments. The barn also has its own assortment of trinkets and treasures to browse, and you can try-before-you-buy at the wine tasting counter.
After a couple of weekends of wet and chilly weather, it’s finally looking like we’re headed for springier temperatures this weekend, with Friday, Saturday, and Sunday looking at mid fifties and partly cloudy at most. Bring a light jacket just in case, and come on up to see what’s new at the ranch! 😊
