The detector array for the miniaturized time-resolved Raman spectrometer is capable of sub-nanosecond time resolution, enabling the detection of Raman spectral signatures from minerals and organics while eliminating pervasive background interference caused by fluorescence. For details, see Blacksberg et al., pp. 739–748.
