Omar E. Pol: @Hugo: Not sure. Your formula is a copy of the Mathar's formula.

Omar E. Pol: What about " v-pile positions in the 3-Wythoff game." as the definition only?

Michel Marcus: keep only 2nd part of name ?

Hugo Pfoertner: @Omar: We usually prefer a name that is precise and as simple as possible. This is exactly why I chose Richard's formula. Thank you for pointing this out to me, otherwise I would have overlooked it. Do you have a simpler definition than Richard's formula? On the other hand, almost everyone has to first look for what a Wythoff game is.

Hugo Pfoertner: @Jon: I'll take up your suggestion. Is the new name okay, or what can be improved about it? I would then do something similar for the other "Wythoff game" sequences.
NAME
a(n) = floor((n+2/3)*(5+sqrt(13))/2); v-pile positions in the 3-Wythoff game.
