I’m a Hooters waitress who makes a fortune— but these are the 3 things I hate about the job

She doesn’t give a hoot.

A young server is sharing the three things she hates about working at Hooters— despite raking in a fortune from the franchise.

Maia Marie, 23, previously hit headlines by boasting that she made an eye-popping $450 in tips in just half a shift, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t downsides to the lucrative gig.

In a viral video that has already clocked up over 2.8 million views on TikTok, the wing-slinging server shared three “cons” about being a Hooters girl.

First, some sleazy male customers make the job more difficult than it needs to be.

“I always knew men were weird but when I started working at Hooters it unlocked a whole another level,’ Marie candidly confessed.

“I’m not saying all men are bad, mine isn’t I love him. There are men that will really like make you uncomfortable and not even realize what they’re doing,” she explained.

Second, the server said she’s always forced to be “bubbly” regardless of whether or not she’s actually in a good mood.

“You have to be ready to put that fake smile on if you’re having a bad day push it out the window and that can be a lot sometimes,” she stated.

Finally, Marie dished that some of the stunning servers can be “competitive” about taking tables to procure tips.

“There are girls that are going to be competitive there are girls that are gonna want to skip you in the rotation,” she spilled. “Some girls are going to want to take the tip that was left for you off your table.”

“Needless to say nine times out of ten the girls that you work with are there for the same reason you are and are going to be really cool,” the employee insisted.

And, in the interest of fairness, Marie shared some “pros” about her Hooters hustle, saying that the female friendships were among the most prominent perks.

“I have met some of the best girls working at Hooters,” she gushed. “My manager is one of my best friends now.”
