Vincent Lecavalier (født 21. april 1980 i Ile Bizard, Quebec) er en fransk-canadisk hockey spiller og kaptein for Tampa Bay Lightning i National Hockey League.
Spillende karriere
[rediger | rediger kilde]Vincent Lecavalier ble drafted først av alle av Tampa Bay i NHL Entry Draft 1998, og Lightnings nye eier Art Williams sa at Lecavalier ville bli "the Michael Jordan of hockey".[7][8]
Den 1. mars 2000[9], som oppfølging av hans fine sesong året før, ble han utnevnt til kaptien, og ble den yngste kapteinen i NHL's historie med sine 19 år og 11 måneder (senere passert av Sidney Crosby). Før det ble rekorden hold av Steve Yzerman som ble utnevnt til kaptein i Detroit Red Wings når han var 21 år og 5 måneder.[10]
