The objective of this study is to find the plausible interpretation of the phrase “for the child shall die a hundred years old” found in Isaiah 65:20. We really know that there will be no more death, sorrow nor pain in the new heaven and the new earth in which this passage is in contradiction with, and thus become one of the burden of ordinary members of our church about its right interpretation. That is why, it enlightened our mind accurately to answer the following questions: (1) What is the correct interpretation of the phrase “for the child shall die a hundred years old?” (2) How is this related to the promises mentioned in the book of Revelation and in the book of Isaiah itself? (3) What is the relationship of the phrase to its chapter and to the book as a whole?
