Paul Baran (26 April, 1926[1] – 26 Mac, 2011[2]) adalah salah seorang daripada tiga pencipta jaringan packet-switched, bersama dengan Donald Davies dan Leonard Kleinrock. Idea sama untuk jaringan data teragih dikaji seorang diri oleh Donald Davies dari National Physical Laboratory di UK, walaupun Donald Davies lebih mengutamakan masalah perkongsian sumber daripada Paul Baran yang fokus pada isu ketenteraan.
