Momeka
As he reached the back of the technobar, the door to Jojen's VIP section slides open with a pop and a hiss. It sets with a metallic clank as strands of white smoke escape the suffocating room. As Lionel enters the room he is greeted by Jojen himself, sitting in his favourite chair near the shuttered window; his back facing the entrance.
'That stuff will kill you.' Lionel reaches for the nearest seating and turns it around as he lolls back.
'Sixty years,' Jojen mutters. Slowly turning around, he inhales deep and blows the cloud into the heavily vaporised room. 'The Corporation will have reached me before that.'
Jojen shifts towards the table and pulls two glasses and a bottle from under the table. Filling the glasses he continues. 'But ah… that is not what I wish to talk about today.'
One glass slides across the table and comes full stop against Lionel's hand. With one swift motion he gulps it down as it burns his throat; Acidburn often does that.
'Momeka,' Lionel nearly spits out the name as if it leaves a foul taste. 'He who controls tech from the Alpha Age. He who inhabits the Datasphere, and has made it his realm to toy and tinker with.'
A grim smile creeps across Jojen's face as his mood clearly darkens. 'They say he is master of us all, that even the Corporation does not know from where, or even from whence he comes. Many don't even believe he exists. They say he is but a myth.'
'Fools,' Lionel growls as he physically spits on the floor. Corroding saliva bites at the floor. 'They can say all they want, but he is real.'
Jojen lets out a metallic clanking, his original laugh lost forever. 'Some perceive him as nothing but lies, yet some perceive him as a God. Some mistake actions of others to be his and actions of his to be those of others. So many tales, but which is truth?'
Leaning forward, Lionel's two robotic fingers creak as they point at his eyes. 'I have seen what he creates. I have seen what he can do. They would be wise to believe otherwise, as Momeka is master of us all.'
