The paper provides an overview of key performance measurement indicators used to measure the nonfinancial performance of the small-scale businesses. It discusses the importance of performance measurement and identifies the factors which cause disruption in operational activities. Further, the paper provides insight how disruptions in operational process affect the performance measurements. The study provides a theoretical viewpoint, supported by empirical evidence from the handicraft sector; on how prominent operational disruptions affect the business performance of handicraft sector. We conclude the paper by discussing results derived from the SPSS and SmartPLS software’s and how the results will be theoretically implemented in strategy formations that business development.

Economists have long agreed that access to finance plays an essential role in the process of dipping the inequality in wealth distribution, it enhancing the household income and provide better employment opportunities. Microfinance in India is now mounting and covering wider boundaries more importantly it gets appreciations as a tool to reduce poverty. It has become a critical tool for reaching all those under privileged groups such as women, socially and economically backward classes for the purpose of empowerment and providing access to the financial services. It is a cost effective mechanism for providing financial services to the poor. This working paper tries to outline the prevailing conditions of the Microfinance in India. The sector of handicraft is not only provides employment for the development of economy but it also acts as a sensible artistic approach of self-expression for the artisans. Handicrafts are matchless expressions as they represent culture, tradition, and heritage of a country. Handicraft sector is directly related to the economy of the rural India that means its growth, and downfall is the mirror image of rural economy as well as the economy as a whole In this paper, we have tried to analyze why the sector is one of the promising and productive sectors in India economy and what is the contribution of handicraft as foreign inflow to the Indian economy, and its growth, and decline through last fifteen years. Further, we have shown the growing foreign markets for Indian handicraft, and the leading foreign market for Indian art to export.

The purpose of this research paper is to explore the factors in association with inbound logistics and to analyze the relation of such attribute with the performance of handicraft firms. To identify the relationship between inbound logistics and performance, important measures are reflected in both the broader components. For inbound logistics, Market Factors(MF), Funding (FUN), and Quality Check (QC) are taken as the imperative variables while analysing performance specific aspects productivity, efficiency and flexibility are taken into reflection. Further, it is important to establish a procedure which evaluates the impact of independent variables (MF, FUN, and QC) on performance (dependent variable). The relation between the dependent and independent variable is analysed with the help of SPSS (regression analysis).

To effectively address the issue of poverty alleviation and sustainable development, there is a need to optimize efforts towards inter-sectorial strategies and to address such concepts government has introduced the concept of ―convergence‖. Convergence is leverage for MGNREGA for achieving sustainability through inter-sectorial conjunction. Further this paper highlights the problems and prospects of sustainable development in connection with MG-NREGA.
