Logo of Wikidata Welcome to Wikidata, Aarp65!

Wikidata is a free knowledge base that you can edit! It can be read and edited by humans and machines alike and you can go to any item page now and add to this ever-growing database!

Need some help getting started? Here are some pages you can familiarize yourself with:

  • Introduction – An introduction to the project.
  • Wikidata tours – Interactive tutorials to show you how Wikidata works.
  • Community portal – The portal for community members.
  • User options – including the 'Babel' extension, to set your language preferences.
  • Contents – The main help page for editing and using the site.
  • Project chat – Discussions about the project.
  • Tools – A collection of user-developed tools to allow for easier completion of some tasks.

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask on Project chat. If you want to try out editing, you can use the sandbox to try. Once again, welcome, and I hope you quickly feel comfortable here, and become an active editor for Wikidata.

Best regards!

Q14632555

edit

Per WD:Notability, items that link to user pages are not accepted on Wikidata. Regards, --Ricordisamoa 01:02, 24 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thank You for this information --Aarp65 (talk) 09:24, 21 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Wrong merge

edit

Please do not ever merge items which are not strictly identical. A family name is not a disambiguation page. A name is not a family name, etc. I trust you will be more careful in the future, thank you. --Harmonia Amanda (talk) 21:58, 10 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Name, surname and disam items

edit

Please do not merge name or surname items with disambiguation pages as you did here and in other places. Abdi İpekçi Arena is not a surname but a sports hall. Please. Thx. --E4024 (talk) 00:05, 23 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Deleted empty item

edit

I have deleted Q115155524 because it was empty and wasn’t being used anywhere. An item is empty if it does not have any claims or sitelinks. Unfortunately, such items are not useful to Wikidata, and they are normally deleted. If you were planning to return to this item later in order to complete it, please let me know as I can restore it if appropriate. Remember that all items are expected to demonstrate notability and, although this might not apply in this case, we strongly discourage editors from creating items where they have a conflict of interest, for example about themselves or their employers. A disambiguation page is not a family page

edit

Hello,
Everything is in the title: don't merge different pages. After your merge, we see family name (P734) with disambiguation page values. Thank you for your understanding. Cordially. ―Eihel (talk) 01:05, 7 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

+1. He/she also merged three different persons, see Talk:Q1503697. @Vojtěch Dostál: Thanks for your report on the Administrators' noticeboard. --Kolja21 (talk) 13:18, 3 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
