Aims and scope
The Lithuanian Mathematical Journal publishes high-quality original papers mainly in pure mathematics. This multidisciplinary quarterly provides mathematicians and researchers in other areas of science with a peer-reviewed forum for the exchange of vital ideas in the field of mathematics.
Contributions are invited from researchers all over the world.
Articles must be written in English.
Submissions to the "Lithuanian Mathematical Journal’’ are refereed, and only carefully selected papers of high quality are accepted for publication.
The scope of the journal includes but is not limited to:
- Probability theory and statistics;
- Differential equations (theory and numerical methods);
- Number theory;
- Financial and actuarial mathematics, econometrics.
In particular, research papers are welcome from those whose work is related to the advances being made by Lithuanian mathematicians. Survey papers are also invited; however, authors considering submitting such a paper should consult with the editor regarding the proposed topic.
The journal "Lithuanian Mathematical Journal’’ is published in four issues per volume, one volume per year.
The journal was founded in 1961. The journal’s Archives, Volumes 1-12 (1961-1972) in Russian language with English (or German) abstracts, are freely available at Vilnius University Press here: https://www.journals.vu.lt/LMJ/issue/archive.
