Abstract
The selection of optimum process parameters in wire-electric discharge machining process such as peak current, wire tension, water pressure and duty factor plays a significant role for optimizing the process performance measure. In this paper, multi-objective optimization of wire-electric discharge machining (wire-EDM) is done using recently developed evolutionary optimization algorithm. The advanced algorithm developed for the purpose of optimization is known to be multi-objective artificial bee colony (MOABC) algorithm. The objectives considered in this work are material removal rate and wear ratio and subjected to the constraint of surface roughness.
