Abstract

The founding concepts that support this book are introduced in this chapter. Firstly, the concepts of system and enterprise are presented, including system composition, environment, structure, and production. Next the concepts of architecture and enterprise are discussed. In Sect. 2.3, the purposes of representation and design are introduced. Finally, the concepts of views, viewpoints, model, stakeholder, and domain are presented.
