FLY ME TO THE MOON is a typical romance that relies heavily on the star power of its cast. The political commentary often feels forced compared to the snappy one-liners the characters often exchange. Jim Rash elicits the most laughs as a flamboyant director while Scarlett Johansson exudes confidence and charm in both her comedic and dramatic moments. Despite its unnecessary length, the film remains an easy watch provided you don’t think too hard about the absurdity of its plot.
