Very cute and a fun time. I wasn’t blown away but those emotional beats really hit well. Great motherhood story and of course beautiful animation

There is so much beauty in this film, I fear that I was not able to appreciate it as much as I hoped on this watch. I had a very tough time keeping up with the story that I think I missed a lot of thematic elements that take this film so high for most people. Still gorgeous and fun, but I hope my feeble American mind will be able to wrap around this more in the future

I honestly enjoyed more than I thought I would. Definitely not as good as the first 2 but I think I liked it more than the 3rd. Animation at the end of the chameleon fight went hard and I still got the occasional laugh. It also didn’t try too hard to be a beautiful message about life and end up cheesy which I can appreciate. And of course the  closing credit scene tired it together. I’ll watch anything with Jack Black 🙌

Thought I wouldn’t like this as much with how long it’s been since my last viewing, but damn I was wrong. Such an insane story that had me locked in almost the full 2.5 hours. The philosophical conversations between characters explored some really cool themes. I especially loved the conversations between Maximus and Juba about their families and the afterlife. And the ending felt much more emotional to me this time around.
