The Fourth Kind 2009
Would have been a solid found footage horror if they didn't embed any of the "reenactment" portions.
Mockumentaries already take an effort to feel authentic and the use of the reenactments forces the audience to suspend their belief twice as hard, leaving those dramatized segments feeling dull and nonsensical.
Overall, a cool watch but I can't help but to imagine how much scarier and engaging the film could've been if all efforts were focused on the "raw" footage.
