My uncle walked in to the room while I was watching the film and the scene that coincidentally was playing when he arrived was that one LEGO woman in a bikini playing a sax. I’m cooked.

This was a very sweet movie! It’s a unique take on documentaries animated in an animated LEGO form, and they absolutely take full advantage of the creative LEGO building vibes to illustrate Pharrell’s imagination and experiences. The plot is a standard rags to riches…

So I guess LEGO wanted to do Halloween trick or treat and decided to give us a treat by announcing a live-action Ninjago movie. Wow.

A boring, aimless sequel that has nothing new to say. Everything is just a rehash of the first film but with annoying side characters and a lack of good tension. Steven Spielberg's absence is felt a lot. At least John WIlliams' score elevates it a bit. Not profoundly awful or anything but there's no reason to check it out, unless you really want more of Chief Brody and sharks attacking people at any chance they encounter.
