Hi Lucky, thanks for playing and for the feedback!

(1 edit)

Hey spoonsweet!
Not getting this in any wrong way, actually, quite the opposite!
Thanks for the feedback, and yes, my intention was to add much more but unfortunetely , my day job got really busy here and I could only do something in 2 days at the end of the day, so I focused on composing/recording the soundtrack and add as much as I could of extra content.
A curiosity about the voices at the start, it's not gibberish but I wanted to make it subtle, it's actually the quote from the Philosopher Seneca in Latin, "Quis Hic locus? Quae regio? Quae Mundi plaga?" which is shown in English after you press space. Buuut I like to keep those kind of stuff subtle.

Cheers

Great use of your modular system, was curious about what you would do with it and it fits perfectly to the game atmosphere. Very atmospheric, well polished and audio/visually pleasing.

Beautiful idea and execution Spacespy. Very poetic. You did a great job telling the story and the last notes combinations were a clever way to end the game.

Very good work with the audio, it drove the story and was the main element on the game as the round required. Very nice ending too.

Amazing! Great story, great use of the audio as a mechanic, great mood, music and art.

Hey, thanks for playing!
About the bug, was it only in the corridor part? There's an intentional silence in the middle of the last room, when the screenshake stops, but the music should come back further on the level.  Is that what you mean or was the sound 100% off during the whole main section?

I really like this one. This is solid, everything feels well together. Very atmospheric, really nice audio, moody art and great dialogues and story. 5 stars.

This game looks gorgeous! Really nice use of audio too. It was already one of my favourtes on round 1 and even more impressive now. Good job!

Very well put together, feels like a complete game.

Nice AESTETHICS

Very nice experience, good job!

Beautiful.

This is awesome.

We need more cat games like this, great job!

Very nice art, all the elements work very well together.

This looks so good. Great pallete, great pace, a lot of small details that add A LOT to the feel. I really liked this one.

I love the artwork, really unique level.

Looks good, feels good. 5 stars.

I had already liked your game when you posted on discord, but playing it adds much more to the experience. Great atmosphere, visuals and music!

Thanks, I'm getting the full version today, great software.

Hey, first of all congratulations for creating this amazing software. The idea is super nice and feels like a substance designer version for pixel art. I'm testing the demo before buying the full version and every time I have a tutorial opened and try to open another one the program crashes. I tried to replicate the error and it only happens if I have a node double clicked for preview:

Hey guys, we posted our game yesterday as a submission however is not counting as a game for the jam. It was made all from scratch in a week(art, music and prog). As you can see on its page it was posted 14 hours ago. If you want to play it here is the link

Thanks a lot! For playing it and for the great feedback!
The movement part could use some friction, maybe thats the 1% missing, I will definetely try it out.
I was thinking about giving some kind of bonus after killing the spawner enemies, I could use a random factor to give you some orange circles sometimes and some other bonuses other times. But yeah, I'm not happy with the way they just spawn and definetely need some improvement there!
This kind of feedback is really necessary, thanks for taking your time writing it!

Hey thanks a lot!! Awesome to know that you kept playing it! I really appreciate the feedback! There are indeed bugs that I couldnt fix due the deadline :(
The spikes were supposed to be freed from memory when colliding with the walls but there is a bug that whenever the spawner gets smaller the speed of the spikes get smaller too(thats not a feature lol) and sometimes they get so slow that just stop on screen, maybe thats whats causing the memory problem?
Anyways, its awesome to know that you enjoyed the gameplay and definetely i will put some time to correct the spike's bug. Thanks!

Thanks you! I'm on a personal challenge of making one game per week for 6 months. After that I might expand this one into something more complete :)
I'm really glad you liked it
