very fun demo! excited for the full game to come out!!!!

I've played through like 30 minutes of your demo, and the game is really awesome! I'm excited for the project to be completed!! Thanks for using my music!! :)

I’m glad you like it!! Thanks for the comment!

This would make for a awesome boss fight. This was mentioned, but it feels very 'Castlevania'. Some more low end bass to accompany the low percussion would make it even more powerful I think! (though with the 15 coin budget I know it was hard to use every instrument you wanted) Really great track!

Super funky!! I love the bassline, melody, and drum fills. I think it fits the prompt well too!!

Tough track. I love it. Mixed really well, and it created a powerful/ominous/epic mood.

Your track really fits the prompt in my opinion, and I love the composition, instrumentation, and mixing!! It's really a beautiful piece!

Cool piece! Although some of the rhythms seemed off, and there seemed to be a lot of empty space. With some more instruments and backing, I think it could grow into an epic theme!

The writing of the piece is one of my favorites in the jam!! Some of the mixing of the percussion could be altered to help all the sounds feel cohesive, but as it is I really like it! Loved the live uke by the way. It made the piece very unique.

I loved the switch up at 45 seconds! Really cool track!!

This was awesome!! Really beautiful writing, instrumentation and mixing! It really fits the prompt as well in my opinion!!

Hahaha thank you very much :)

Thank you!

I'm glad you enjoyed it, and thank you very much for that feedback. It makes a lot of sense. I will keep that in mind next time I write a piece like this!

This sounds like a really fun action/adventure rpg track as you journey from town to town! I liked it a lot! :)

I love how the synths complimented the bagpipes, and the whistling was a super unique touch that adds some wholesomeness to the whole thing. Some of the mixing could be improved to give the piece a little more cohesion, but I really like this one overall!

Insane quality strings in my opinion. I love this track - especially with the sunset/sunrise theme. I think the acoustic guitar was a great addition to piece, giving cozy, warm vibes. The writing is excellent as well! This is one of my favorites.

As someone who has never gotten the hang of using voice, this is really impressive. Great writing. This fit the prompt really well too! Really great

I think this fits with the prompt really well!! The instrumentation give me a sense of peacefully gazing at the sunset/sunrise. I also really liked the pizz strings. I don't know if you know the original 'drawn to life' DS game, but I got similar vibes. :)

I love the composition/writing of this piece a LOT. I also think it fits really well with the prompt. I can imagine myself gazing at the sunset/sunrise and getting lost in this piece. I wanted to fit the erhu into mine but never liked the way it sounded, but yours is really perfect. Great piece.

Great piece. The intro really started the track off strong, and the constantly changing music never gets boring!

The bass-line was great, and the writing was really solid. I love the retro sound.

Four on the floor is always a banger. Very fun, energetic track, and the different sections were nice on the ears so the track never gets boring!

Thanks for listening and for the kind comment! :)

Thank you :)

Very cool, chaotic track, and cool use of only the bagpipes. The composition is really cool, and my only critique would have to do with mixing/mastering and adding some low-end (though I saw that you said that even the kick was the bagpipes - you stuck to your guns and I like that). I enjoyed the song a lot!

I didn't even realize that you had two tracks. 'Sun' complimented the first very nicely. I love the heavy drum/metal sound.

I love the epic arrangement with electric guitar front and center. The change in tempo was really a great compositional choice, and I like your choice in instrumentation. I have difficulty using electric guitar in my compositions, so I really enjoyed hearing a good use of the instrument.

Really awesome piece. I'm getting a mix of pokemon + a mario beach/underwater theme. The percussion was exciting, and compositionally I was never bored. You said you wanted mixing advice, but I think the piece is mixed really well! You could have MAYBE added a little more low-end/bass, but I think the way you mixed it was great!

This was a very fun, creative, well-composed, and well-mixed piece! Very fun video too! The tone/compositional changes from cinematic & majestic to fun & folky seemed abrupt at first, but they ended up working well, and I really enjoyed the track!

This piece was very ethereal and magical! I loved use of the harp, the vocals were done well, and I could see this piece as a part of a fantasy rpg. Your tuned percussion was also very nice. I feel like my only critique is that the vocals seem to stand out in a way that obstructs the beautiful accompaniment that you have in the back. This would simply come down to the mixing/mastering of the track. All around though, I very much enjoyed the piece!

Beautiful, haunting piece of music! I wasn't expecting the clarinet to be introduced, and it was absolutely beautiful when it did. Compositionally, the dissonant/jazzy/'tumultuous' choices seem a little out of place with regards to some of the hopeful, nostalgic, and serene feeling I interpreted from the prompt, but as a standalone piece, it is marvelous (and this critique is fully subjective, so take my opinion with a grain of salt). Also, some tempo variation/rubato in the performance could definitely elevate the tension and 'turbulent' nature of the piece, but as it is, I very much enjoyed it!

Really cool track! I loved the drums & rhythm switches throughout the piece. I was getting action-adventure rpg vibes as the player embarks on his journey as the sun sets. I enjoyed the transition at 1:32 - it was a nice change of pace. If I had to critique anything, maybe a variation in the style of instruments used could create more texture or something along those lines? like a plucked instrument or bell to really bring the melody forward. Mixing/mastering sounded great to me as well, and overall I really enjoyed it! :)

Thanks so much for the detailed feedback about the issues. I ended up posting on Open Game Art here:

However, I had to split up my .zip file into smaller files, so it may be a bit inconvenient to download them all.

Thanks again!!!

I'm looking into this! My apologies!! If it is still not working, I would be happy to send you the music files another way.

Really great track! The choice of instruments and sounds was spot on, and the percussion is awesome. My only suggestion was that I wish the bass was a little louder, because the bass line was really fun!

I love the instrumentation and decision to write a waltz. It reminded me of Comet Observatory from Super Mario Galaxy. The steel drum was very fitting, and you succeeded at writing a soft/cozy theme.
