Finally got around to make a browser version of my game, if you are still interested to play it.

Spooky atmosphere, good visuals (though the VHS filter is a bit too much after a while) and great sound design. The voice lines are also a nice touch.
Sadly I could not really progress since most interaction E's didn't do anything. As others mentioned, the collisions are a bit off as well.
Other than that, this has a lot of potential!
As someone who has played Kingdoms New Lands, I can definitely see the inspiration.
It's great and captures the vibe of the Kingdom games well, I think a few more personal elements would have been great. Also during the nights no enemies were appearing for me? Was a bit confused about that.
Other than that, amazing visuals, sounds and polish!
Thank you! I found a good SFX library for once and crunched the last night to get them in the game xD.
You have a point, the euro coins could have been explained at some point. I think like from the position in the cash register and noone paying odd amounts of <10cts it's kinda clear (at least noone else complained yet apart from you and I doubt they are all European xD). Might add somethings in there.
Cute little game, had fun playing!
The concept itself is a nice idea. I feel what would improve this game first and foremost is more polishing. A few things I noticed:
- The main menu and especially the "How to play" popup looks really scuffed. That could be cleaned up a little to not scare new players away.
- The movement is a bit slow and moving diagonally actually lets you move faster (Pythagoras hates this trick).
- I would make the movement snappy, I see you're using Unity, so you probably use forces and RigidBodies and stuff to move the player. I would go simpler and just apply velocity when a button is pressed. This usually feels better for pixel-art games.
Overall this is a nice game with an interesting gameplay loop that fits the theme quite well!
Very cool game, reminded me of "60 seconds" (without the 60 sec. prep phase xD).
I think the different events that can appear are quite refreshing and keep the game interesting. The resource management aspect is quite engaging.
I think a general direction where to go to would have been nice though, I headed west and then could not traverse the last tile; I survived for 15 days and then got eaten by a Kraken after going all in against pirates (and losing).
All in all a fun game with lots of potential!
Hi, here is our game: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-12/rate/2972041
Will play yours later as well!
Here is mine, ill try yours now: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-12/rate/2972041
Really creative game idea! As a physics nerd I love the settings of the game (even though I'd have to argue that the concept of time and space doesn't actually exist before the big bang, but that is another story ;)).
Also liked the escalating music, nice touch. And I've finally seen a use for the warp_mouse() functionality xD
I'd appreciate if you try my game as well, we need a few more ratings to get to 20.
Fun game! The mechanics are of course very simplistic and I would have liked some sort of upgrade system / enemy variety / different towers / ...
There is definitely some potential here, it's giving me Vampire Survivors vibes already!
I especially liked the huge storm coming at the 2 minute mark, did not expect so many enemies coming at that point.
I'd appreciate if you checked out my game as well!
Rated yours (nr. 47), help ours get to 20: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-12/rate/2972041
Will rate yours if you rate ours: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-12/rate/2972041

Very creative and fun game, fits the theme well!
The artstyle is certainly unique, but it all fits decently well together.
I would have liked a bit more depth to the mechanics, right now the strat just seems to be to bild wide and make walls, the cloud enemies made it a bit more interesting but did not really change the strategy. Some attacks from the top or some way to promote building solidly would have been great.
Very unique experience and something I didn't expect in a game jam (3D atmospheric game with combat & puzzles). The graphics are decent and the sound design is pretty great.
The camera head bobbing, the spear being in your vision (especially when walking left) and the camera moving even when you are standing still gave me a bit of motion sickness, that needs some work I think.
The combat is overall solid, though more feedback when you are actually hitting an enemy would be great. Had a hard time figuring out if I'm winning or not in some fights.
I think one cultist by the big gate was invincible in one attempt and also the gate would not open for me after putting the 3 cubes on the pedestals (that was the puzzle, right?). I got through it though by running fast enough before it could close, don't think that is intended though.
Overall a nice experience, if a bit rough around the edges.
Wow, thank you much for the praise and honest feedback, it means a lot to us!
Attention to detail / having unique customers like the grandma etc. was very important to us, I'm glad you liked them as well!
We actually also had the idea about small change resource management, but it got scrapped (mostly due to time constraints). Some version of this now exists as "there is one type of coin missing on day 4 / 5".
I've never bothered to make browser-playable versions of my games, but you might have a point. Maybe I'll start making browser versions in the future.
There will be an update at some point after the jam fixing a few bugs and potentially adding an endless mode, we'll see if we have other idea we want to put in there (and find the time to do so).
Very happy you enjoyed it!
