This game is still amazing, lovely graphics, simple gameplay loop and a huge amount of details! Love it!

Wow, thank you so much for your kind comment <3 maybe I should polish it a little bit and reupload after the jam then. :D

Haha, yeah that's true randomness I guess xD a few more sections would've probably been better though :D thank you very much for playing and commenting  :))

Thank you so much for your detailed review <3 first if all: nice score :D

Restarting the game without going to the main menu is a really good suggestion and I'm a little embarrassed I didn't think of that myself xD probably I was too much into coding the scene transitions and didn't have a proper gamer view in it anymore :D this would most probably resolve the bug you mentioned as well... After uploading it I also noticed it once in a while.

Area loading in the camera view?! Shit, that shouldn't happen.. I need to recheck my logic there, thank you for the heads up :)

Thank you again for your comment and for playing the game :))

Thank you so much for playing and commenting on it :) Hyper-casual was what I was striving for, actually, so thank you <3 I'll try to get my next jam game play-tested before submitting it, so I can tweak the controls. Thanks for the input :)

First of all - the screenshots look awesome, the idea sounds cool, BUT - I went through the 500MB download, extracted it, downloaded additional software to play the game and was left with a fatal error on startup T_T It would've been awesome if you exported it for the web with lower graphics settings or at least cross-platform (Mac, Linux, we exist, too xD). I really was looking forward to playing the game, but I can't :(((

Keep it up, though, it looks like a really good game :)

Really awesome style, looks very polished :) At some point it was too hard for me and I gave up xD

Side note: also works on Linux with Wine, but as always, would be nice if you could export your games for the web, so we can ditch the download (and in my case also Wine).

Please consider exporting for web, so it's cross-platform and we can ditch the explicit download :) Apart from that it's a nice idea, but the controls during the jump scene are not as crisp as I would have liked them to be. Anyway, cool game :)

Side note: It works on Linux with Wine, if you want to add it to your description ;)

Very cool game! I also immediately thought of a museum stealing game and you implemented the idea really well! Glad I didn't compete with you on that idea xD

Haha alright I got it now, thank you :D Yes, I also noticed some bugs during my first export and was so glad that I didn't wait until my game was "finished" (or time was up)... xD Anyway, very cool game, keep it up :)

Ohh nooo :D :D I started with Left/Right and A/D movement, but ditched it for a mouse controller xD Sorry for that! And thank you for playing and commenting on it <3

Cool idea and implementation :) Really liked it once I got the hang of it :D

I didn't find the man and killed a lot of innocent people, BUT (maybe therefore!?? :P) it is my absolute favorite game! Love the concept, love the implementation, the presentation -- just the theme was missing too much for my taste. But nonetheless, a really fun game!

Cool idea and nice implementation! If you just let me skip the dialogues, I would try again xD Good work, though!

It took me 220 seconds to get home xD Nice game!

(1 edit)

It's a really cool idea! It's a shame that you only had 4 hours left, because in this state, I find it way too hard to accomplish (or I'm just too dumb xD). But nice work so far :)

Same for me :( But I also like the concept and art :)

Cool concept and art, but I don't quite understand the game mechanics 🙈

Could you please update the submission page or comment here with some explanation of the rules, like when am I supposed to place cards and when do they get removed? What are shadows that I receive? Why is my health bar (seemingly) filling up when the enemy attacks?

Thank you in advance :)

I was brought here by a news article and like the idea. But your scepticism towards open sourcing the project makes me skeptical about your project :D

If sandboxing is hard, why not use the experience and intelligence of hundreds of developers out there? What needs to be done by you that cannot be done a lot faster by a crowd of enthusiasts?

Apart from that, you should consider dealing with adult content from the beginning. It should really be done during the design phase if it's not already too late. There's a huge debate about such topics for normal websites already on a government level and it could be a death penalty for the project if it cannot handle requirements properly.

Still, keep it up and I'm excited to see where this project is going!

Wow, I'm blown away by your detailed comment!

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a complete review and all the detailed feedback to the different mechanics!

You're very right about the end, it was the last thing I tried to polish by adding the fireworks animation and showing the credits screen, but it would've deserved an intro screen like level of love as well. I will focus more on that in the next game jam!

The mix of rage and horny is probably not the best for the horny rating, I agree! This game was an idea from over 15 years ago that I never tried because of lack of programming skills and now I was so excited that there was a game jam that was NSFW with a fantasy theme that motivated me to get it on. So maybe next time I should spend a few hours to balance out the different aspects to better suit the actual theme.

My level design skills really suck. It's my first published game at all and I'm absolutely thankful for the input about the gem placement and different level sections! I let my brother test play it for a few minutes and played it myself a lot of course, but he's a dark souls fanatic masochist and I'm, well, the developer xD so maybe next time I should also invest a few hours or even better, team up with someone to deliver a greater experience.

The keyboard delay was something I noticed myself, but I didn't have the time to investigate it.. time was just too short to go beyond a superficial debugging and fixing of obvious bugs in the gameplay :/

I love your positive feedback regarding the intro scene, overall concept and the undressing game! It is very well appreciated and I hope I can participate in more game jams in the future :)

Not intentionally. The free assets I used for the princess were not specifically created for female bodies, though. So some amount of androgyny may be spottable in the face and overall body shape, if that disturbs you or turns you on.

Thank you :)

it just strikes me that maybe the last part of your comment addressed the fact I joined the jam pretty late - I actually began development on the second day of the jam, but only joined on itch.io once I was confident enough I would be able to submit something... Just wanted to clarify that xD (initially I wanted to join brackeys game jam, but concluded I liked this game jam's theme and scope better as my first game jam)

I can't get it to work with Wine on Linux T_T I'll try again on my fiancee's Windows PC later this week and hope it doesn't blow up in flames. The screenshots look awesome though!

Thank you very much for your comment! As I wrote below, the balancing was really hard for me to do, but I hope you succeeded eventually and didn't throw your keyboard out the window xD If so, you can also try again with a controller btw :D Thank you, it was indeed a challenge, but worth every bit!

Thank you so much for the feedback :) I'm glad you completed it! It was hard for me to balance the difficulty and it lacks some finishing touches, but at least I finally released a game at all xD

Nice, I'll have to replay it on desktop, since on mobile the controls are a bit laggy. But I like the style of the game! Good job :)
