Absolutely solid game, very well polished, the camera movements for unlocking areas were very professional Really liked the little jingle and the subtle glow effects, but also a really good take on the theme as i found myself trying to pick the best pairing for enemies on each level, and then bossed the boss stage :') Really enjoyed, great job!
I really liked the concept of increasing range and power of towers in close range, having the line render between them was a really nice touch. Overall had lots of fun playing :)
Some comments: I'd maybe include a scoring features/wave counter just to keep track of progress, would be nice to compare against. Also i think the balancing needs some work as the first few waves for a while were quite easy but then got really hard after i couldn't kill anything with everything on the screens. The music stopped playing after a short while too.
Otherwise I thought the difficulty curve was a really smart implementation in a quick way, and really liked the way you had to be smart about placement of towers so they don't fire all at the same time! Great job, also the graphics are cute ^.^
A great short game! Really engaging, i found myself actively wanting to get bigger and just destorying everything in my path! At the end when i got that i only destroyed 4/7 clones i realised my mistake cause i'm sure that i couldve destroyed the house at the beginning where one of the clones was hiding! Tempted to play through again and get them all! Really well polished and funny little spin animation. Had loads of fun :)
I liked how creative the jump and drift animations were! Was really fun trying to beat my previous distance, and also realising i can't drift into a wall to break it haha! I'd maybe suggest tracking the distance and displaying it to the user when they die to make them want to keep trying to beat their score :) I'm a sucker some competition, even with myself. Really nicely polished, i liked that the tutorial wouldn't display every time, a small detail but went a long way for me. Great job!
Haha the first time a ghost got me i got scared by the sound effect xD I had fun playing though, got to the second floor before the ghosts caught up with me again! I was pretty proud of that. I think the camera drags a little too far behind the player as it moves, although not sure if that was a feature to make it harder or not, in which case it did :') Good game though, I had fun!
I loved the dialogue you wrote, it was really funny and all the self references in it made for a good atmosphere, including the guide being a floating watch xD The gameplay was fun and I found the jumping to be almost futuristic moon like, but it added to the challenge of trying to cross the level without getting hit (Jumping over all the bullets and the spikes at the same time was pretty rewarding). Maybe add some music and sound effects for a more full experience, although not sure if my sound just wasn't working or not haha. One of the guns didn't seem to do much damage and had a low amount of bullets though, unless that was intentional.
Overall had fun playing!
Really cute game, I loved exploring the area and getting +1 clues for everything i could find! I really liked how things would fade in to view when entering different areas of the same room, it really helped with the exploration side of things, which I am a sucker for :') I was going to mention the music but it has been mentioned before so i'll leave that, but overall good game :)
Great idea! Always struggle to get ratings in :) - https://itch.io/jam/miz-jam-1/rate/736007
Thank you!! :D I always struggle with polish so that's so nice to hear! Haha I think i tried too hard to make it chilled with the slow speed, think you're right :') I wanted to add a fishing mechanic for if you can't sell anything but didn't have the time, props to wandering around for a bit though :')
What a fun little game! I really liked the movement controls and how the flying felt really realistic. I was a little confused at first since the text based tutorial was quite hard to follow, but I actually thought you did a great job of explaining it in an image form in the description! Had fun playing :) Also love the jingle, very calm!
