i'm no good at detailed reviews, so i'll just say i like it! all the puzzles were super creative and challenging -I had to draw maps for camera and mirror puzzles to figure out wheere exit was😅
oh i already have a plan - 1. Spin-off for Westwood 2. Quiz game for Sowa, it will contain a lot of lore information, especially historical 3 Gardening game for Millena and the the evil spirit that affected the weather in Hedgems 4 Series final - Halloween game with Enfys as a protag, but it will feature other charas too.(probably this one will wait for the next year's halloween, I need to concentrate on my main project, "GOTH")
omg it's the nicest thing i've heard so far🥺 i dont know where to start... well, first of all, my intention was to make the atmosphere of anxiety and tension, without any jumpscares and anything scary actually happening - and i'm glad i succeeded at that! I always thought that this game's weak point was that it had countless tiny details that only a very observant and dedicated player could notice. And you can't expect an average player to do that since it's a 90% rtp game, and doesnt look attractive - most players just skip them. I'M SO GLAD you noticed everything I put there, I really appreciate it! When I made this game, i didnt have a drawing tablet, didnt have any skills at drawing(and zero confidence), zero rpgmaker knowledge, so i used rtp assets to the fullest and did all i could do with what i had lol. Recently I had to transfer it from VX ace to MV to have a browser version and remake the eventing bc it was horrible and nooby:>. There is no canon explanation, and you have an interesting version of it:) Actually it was inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's works - Black Cat, The fall of the house of Usher, Berenice... And also I wanted to make it something kinda David Lynch's movies:D I'm super surprised you liked Enice diary - everyone else called it weird and hard to read and full of grammar and spelling mistakes😅English is not my first language and i'm not good with it, but i wanted Enice to sound more sofisticated, and Allan more casual. (But if you noticed, his speech changes as he keeps reading her diary). ... That line "my half is done"... yes, I love that too, and think it very impactful. yes, i think it's a good idea to give a player more hints for puzzles and endings. I didnt think of that because i tbh didnt expect people to be interested in this game at all... (and you probably didnt notice a secret room and a dead end hehe) And GANA is nothing misterios actually - it's just a name of a fictional country where all of that happens - "Great Alliance of North Allpa". It was formed from 3 countries - Verdeglas(where Aurinko lives), Vallestrana(where Allan lives) and Marginea. I will present more information for the lore in future games:> Huge thanks for playing! it was my first puzzle of my first game so it's pretty crappy yeah😅 Though I remade it later(at first it didnt have any hints, it was impossible to solve), but still it's not perfect - i have to remake it again:((
oh damn. I tested it so many times😭. I guess you need to reload and start again😢. Once yo ustart again, Interact with the mirror, then find the loudest place on second floor, then find the same place at the garden, then return to the mirror. i hope you saved on the 1st day?🥺
thank you very much for the review!💚 personally i think it's my second best game; initially i just needed to distract from my main project and make something casual and simple(i failed so bad lol!) Aurinko was supposed to be a witch listening to graves and performing some misterious rituals in the forest, or swamp and other creepy places. No other characters, no dialogs, no idea how it should end. AND NO IDEA how it became a detective story with the whole world and lore around it. I can't remember how i did that😅 Well, Aurinko still a little witchy with her ginger hair and green eyes i guess. (I want to make a halloween game in the same universe, just to dress Aurinko and Enfys as witches:>🎃. Probably it will be series final) Now i'm working on the spin-off for detective Westwood🕵🏻♂️! that is actually quite close to what really happened:) Her hallucinations served as protection from reality, so she can see the truth only if she ignores them. But there is much more to that... You will know... If you're planning to play other games😉
thank you for playing and giving such a detailed review! i'll check for those bugs you mentioned. the places where Karen can't move are places wehre bodies lie, she just can't see them until she finds her sense of reality. It's not a bug:> yes, the ending is ambigous, bc i didnt really think it through - i made the game in 2 days because i was bored lol. And also i'm more interested in other people's interpretation and always give them some room for thinking out by themselves. i'm surprised you liked the "art"😮. I just drew it on a paper with a pencil, then took a photo and edited a little - when i made this game i didnt have a tablet yet. Also is the wolf cute? I always thought he's creepy😅 this story will be explained in future games of the series - i plan to make 4 more:)
these 3 games can be played in any order🖤 But now i'm working on a spin-off for "Pieces", that one should be played after "Pieces". I hope to finish it by the beginning of September(it's for Beregon's Horror Jam). Glad you're interested😁
thank you 😊 I thought about different endings, but then it'd make the story less tragic and ambigous - i showed the world from a monster's point of view, and it's a tragedy. But from humans' point of view they just killed a monster... If there was a way to save Nerris, then it'd mean she's "good". But there are no good and bad guys there... Also the game is so short because I wanted to be sure to finish it in time, unlike previous jam lol. And spent 1.5 days on it... which is the other extreme:>
