no not in this but in a game that got taken down just a little over few months ago in Futakin Valley all I did was just download the new version delete the old file and all my progress saved and I also did the same with another game like yesterday by the name my pig princess and it also worked but again I'm not sure for this one maybe they used a similar way of coding while this one doesn't just suggesting
Not necessarily but probably, as I may have changed things in the gamethat may leave your file in an unwinnable situation.
I guess you can try reloading as your saves should still be there, but I can't guarantee there won't be issues since it's not a linear VN.
