Research Centres are specialist research initiatives operating under the supervision of the LSE’s Research Committee. Most are linked to a ‘parent’ Department, though some are organised on a School-wide basis.
They exist to manage and promote a coherent programme of research, often but not always interdisciplinary (and cross-departmental) by nature.
To varying degrees, Centres also undertake knowledge exchange and public engagement, and some run executive education or short course programmes.
