Beatriz Barros
Beatriz Barros is a PhD candidate in Anthropology at Indiana University Bloomington working for gender and environmental justice. She has a BA in Archaeology and an MA in Public Heritage from the University of Lisbon, Portugal. Her dissertation research is about women’s presence and invisibility at archaeological institutions during the Portuguese dictatorship and she is a collaborator in “The Carbon Footprint of Billionaires” project, which looks into the relationship between climate change and economic inequality. Her main research interests are cultural heritage, history of archaeology, gender, environmental anthropology, climate change, sustainability, political ecology, human rights, and ethics. She is a Fulbright and a Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia fellow.
