The aim of this study was to examine, in a comparative way, formulaic expressions used in textboo... more The aim of this study was to examine, in a comparative way, formulaic expressions used in textbooks of Turkish as a foreign language and to determine in which contexts and how often they are included in these textbooks. Survey model was used to obtain data from three textbooks of Turkish as a foreign. Formulaic expressions in these books were collected then analyzed in terms of their structural, functional, semantic and contextual features. 193 expressions that met criteria of being formulaic expressions were determined as sub-categories in the textbooks and workbooks and linked to 21 speech acts that were grouped as main categories. Results showed that textbooks may have difficulties in providing a balanced representation of interrelated formulaic expressions, a number of formulaic expressions cannot be included in textbooks although they are frequently used in everyday life and informational contents about speech acts and formulaic expressions in textbooks can be represented being carried into workbooks but they are not reinforced as they are less used in workbooks. Based on these results, suggestions were made both for authors of future textbooks and workbooks of Turkish as a foreign language and authors of future studies concerning formulaic expressions and Turkish as a foreign language.

çevrilecek metinler konusunda değerlendirmede bulunmalarının en çok hazırbulunuşluk düzeylerine katkı sağladığı ve çevrilmek istenen metinlerin büyük bir çoğunluğunun güncel konulara yönelik metinler olması gerektiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ders öncesi yapılan çeviri hazırlıklarının ödeve yönelik çalışmalar olduğu ve bu kapsamda büyük ölçüde öğrencilerin hazırladıkları çeviriler üzerinden ders yapıldığı da tespit edilmiştir. Öğrencilerin çeviri dersleri konusunda en çok farklı alanlara yönelik çevirilerin yapılmasını ve çeviri tekniklerinin öğretimine önem verilmesine dair öneriler sundukları kaydedilmiştir.

Utilising the document review technique, the articles were analysed by the content analysis method with regard to the variables “publication year”, “research type”, “data collection technique”, “subject” (theme) and “keywords”. The research findings reveal that the highest number of articles on assessment and evaluation in foreign language teaching were published in the last two years (2016-2017), that the articles concentrated mostly on the subjects of foreign language teaching programmes, the quality of assessment and evaluation tools in foreign language teaching, the changing syllabi in the field of foreign language teaching, and evaluation of the European Language Portfolio and of coursebooks, and that for these studies, the views of different study groups were consulted. Moreover, in this context, it was determined that with regard to method, the types of studies were mostly descriptive, while the research data were obtained by means of questionnaire,
open-ended question, and interview techniques.

La valeur temporelle d’un prédicat est identifiée par les formes morphologiques tandis que la valeur aspectuelle est spécifiée autant par les référentiels spécifiques que par les formes morphologiques. Les recherches menées dans le domaine de l’enseignement/ apprentissage des langues étrangères et du français en particulier se concentrent plutôt sur l’examen des effets des caractéristiques sémantiques inhérentes aux prédicats et à la structure narrative des emplois grammaticaux de temps utilisés par les apprenants. La présente étude a pour objectif de relever les temps verbaux utilisés et de déterminer le niveau d’emplois du référentiel narratif dans les récits produits par les apprenants du FLE en classe préparatoire à l’Université Uludag de Bursa. Notre point de départ est l’approche formelle et cognitive élaborée par Jean-Pierre Desclés qui s’inspire de la « théorie de repérage » d’Antoine Culioli.
Dans notre étude, nous avons étudié les formes verbales dans les reproductions écrites avec leurs valeurs attribuées par les apprenants et ensuite les avons évaluées du point de vue de la cohérence temporelle sur la base du récit original. Enfin, nous avons présenté certaines suggestions qui vont aider à résoudre les problèmes rencontrés lors de la narration et qui visent à améliorer le niveau des apprenants du FLE.
