    The Day of YHWH, as it is fashioned in the first chapter of the book of Zephaniah, consists of YHWH's threat to reverse his "drama of divine creation". Divine judgement, in this chapter, amounts to a reversion of the three great acts by which the primaeval void was banished and through which the order of Israel's settlement in its land emerged: the reversal of Creation, the reversal of the Exodus, and the reversal of the Settlement of the Land.
