ABSTRACT In this paper, we propose a grid-connected photovoltaic power system including batteries... more ABSTRACT In this paper, we propose a grid-connected photovoltaic power system including batteries in order to provide prescribed reactive and real powers to the grid. According to the stochastic nature of the photovoltaic power, the main feature of the proposed system is to erase power fluctuations by designing a dedicated local control system. With batteries, the whole system is able to smooth the PV power and provides a power reference, which is required by the grid operator. Therefore, the photovoltaic systems can be integrated more efficiently in the grid system and participate to the grid stability. An equivalent continuous dynamic model and control design of the studied power system are proposed in this paper. Simulation results are given to validate the feasibility of the proposed system.

Afin de pallier ce probleme, nous avons axe notre recherche sur la proposition d'un observateur d'etat original visant a observer la position et la vitesse du rotor Nous avons etudie la modelisation et la commande des MSAPT en proposant "le modele de mode-six-etapes". Ensuite, notre etude de l'observabilite de la MSAPT a montre que les harmoniques de rang impair egal a 3K posent un probleme quant a l'observation de la position et la vitesse du rotor. Aussi, nous avons substitue les grandeurs electriques simples par des grandeurs electriques composees entre deux phases. Nous avons alors estime la position et la vitesse du rotor en nous basant sur deux methodes differentes, a savoir : "filtre de Kalman Etendu" et "observateur a modes glissants". La derniere partie de notre these est consacree a l'etude experimentale qui nous a permis de valider l'observateur a modes glissants propose.

Because of some unidirectional devices (diode bridge and anti-run-back diodes), the system is not totally reversible. Some storage and dissipation systems are necessary to store or/and dissipate the returned energy to maintain the DC bus voltage. Power management strategies are introduced in this paper. The development of experimental test benches is necessary to validate these strategies. In the paper, a 3 kW test bench, emulating a unidirectional source that supplies a bidirectional load with the help of a hybrid storage and dissipation system, is presented.

ABSTRACT In a smart grid context, the increasing penetration of embedded generation units leads t... more ABSTRACT In a smart grid context, the increasing penetration of embedded generation units leads to a greater complexity in the management of production units. In this paper, we focus on the impact of the introduction of decentralized generation for the unit commitment (UC) problem. Unit commitment problems consist in finding the optimal schedules and amounts of power to be generated by a set of generating units in response to an electricity demand forecast. While this problem has received a significant amount of attention, classical approaches assume that these problems are centralized and deterministic. However, these two assumptions are not realistic in a smart grid context. Indeed, finding the optimal schedules and amounts of power to be generated by multiple distributed generator units is not trivial since it requires to deal with distributed computation, privacy, stochastic planning, etc. In this paper, we focus on smart grid scenarios where the main source of complexity comes from the proliferation of distributed generating units. In solving this issue, we consider distributed stochastic unit commitment problems. We introduce a novel distributed gradient descent algorithm which allows us to circumvent classical assumptions. This algorithm is evaluated through a set of experiments on real-time power grid simulator.
