    This paper presents the review and the analysis of the analytical methods and simulation models, \vhich have been used so far to plan and establish railway infrastructure capacity. The main concept is being defmed, principles, characteristics and the structure ofthe new simulation model SIZES, as well as the results of the simulation, are being outlined. Developed simulation models enable establishing ofthe railway infrastructure capacity in very complex conditions for the multiple-track as well as single-track lines, thenfor the stations, i. e. entry-exit tracksets and tracks, conflict points - the places of converging and diverging of the tracks. The results tested in various conditions produce completely logical results. Based on the research results, it is possible toform the dependence ofthe railway infrastructure capacity on the traffic quality in various infrastructure and traffic organisation conditions.

    Train delays are the time between scheduled and actual arrival of the train. They have a great influence on the timetable and technological processes related to the train traffic. A model for calculating train delays can be used in the process of railway operations and timetable planning, and operational management. The model for train delays is based on the soft computing techniques. Neural Networks model and Adaptive Network-based Fuzzy Inference System model are trained and verified by the data collected from train dispatcher’s and infrastructure manager’s database. Model is tested on Rakovica station in Serbian Railways.

    Decision-making support systems in railway transport are systems that make it easier for traffic controllers and dispatchers involved in the regulation of train traffic to make individual decisions more easily and accurately. Without such systems, dispatchers usually make decisions based on previous experiences and feelings they have developed working in train traffic control. However, quality decision-making support systems are based on large amounts of data processed by one or several different artificial intelligence techniques. This paper will examine the architecture of such a system in railway transport, which helps the dispatcher to make decisions based on different criteria and values of individual criteria. The architecture of this decision-making support system has been developed to equal or, if necessary, use the maximum available double-track railway line capacity to resolve delays caused by lack of capacity for any given route. This system has been developed for the specific configuration of a double track, whereby each track is intended for one direction of train traffic. This paper will lay the foundation for understanding decision-making support systems and for the development of a specific model of decision-making support system in practice.

    U radu je detaljno izložena i posebno projektovana baza podataka BAZARANZIRNA koja omogucava celokupno racunarsko pracenje i upravljanje tokovima i utvrđivanje lokacije kola u tehnickim teretnim stanicama i predstavlja najvažniji (glavni) deo informacione tehnologije za pracenje i upravljanje teretnim kolima. Time je omoguceno donosenje pravih i pravovremenih odluka koje se odnose na pripreme za rasformiranje i formiranje vozova, nakupljanje kola, formiranje i otpremanje vozova da bi se ubrzao proces prevoza robe.

    U radu je predložena nova, savremena tehnologija rada u tehnickim teretnim stanicama i razvijeni su modeli za postojece i nove tehnologije njihovog rada. Ti modeli omogucavaju simulaciju odvijanja saobracaja, manevarskog rada, kao i procesa u prethodnim, glavnim i zavrsnim operacijama. Modeli su implementirani na primeru stanice Trubarevo ranžirna. U radu su prikazani rezultati testiranja modela za razlicite tehnologije i obime rada tehnickih teretnih stanica. Utvrđen je uticaj primene odgovarajucih tehnologija rada na opterecenost ulazno-izlaznih i kolosecnih kapaciteta, opterecenost osoblja i lokomotiva koje rade u stanicama.

    This chapter analyzes the possibilities of applying the cloud concepts in the realization of the interoperable electronic business of traffic and transport subjects. Special attention is paid to defining the Business-to-Business (B2B) model of integrating the traffic business subjects in cloud computing technological environment. It describes the design, implementation, and application of the cloud concepts on the examples of B2B integration in the field of traffic. The examples demonstrate the usage of Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) by traffic business subjects in the Republic of Serbia. The examples of PaaS are the databases created and hosted on Microsoft SQL Azure platform. The examples of SaaS are Web services hosted on Microsoft Windows Azure platform. The defined model of B2B integration allows interoperability of the traffic business subjects on the syntactic, conceptual, and semantic level.

    A decision-making process requires a prior definition and fulfilment of certain factors, especially when it refers to complex fields such as supply chain management. One of the most important items in the initial stage of a supply chain, which strongly influences its further flow, is making a decision on the most suitable supplier. In this paper, a model for evaluation and supplier selection has been proposed, which has been considered in more than ten different production areas. The model consists of twenty quantitative and qualitative criteria, which are reduced to a total of nine by the application of the fuzzy AHP and the assessment of managers in production companies. The verification of the model has been presented throughout a selection of suppliers in a company for the production of plastic bags and foils, where the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (Fuzzy AHP) method has been used to determine the significance of the criteria, and the Fuzzy Evaluation based on Distance from ...
