AbstractIn this paper we present a methodology that plays an important role in identifying crucial knowledge. Thus, we have developed a method based on three phases. In the first phase, we have used GAMETH® to identify the set of "reference crucial knowledge". During the second phase, decision rules are inferred, through rough sets theory, from decision assignments provided by the decision maker(s). In the third phase, a multicriteria classification of "potential crucial knowledge" is performed on the basis of the decision rules that have been collectively identified by the decision maker(s).

The increase of needs for renewable and vegetable based materials will help to drive the market growth of vegetable waxes. Because of their highly variable composition and physicochemical properties, plant waxes have found numerous applications in the: food, cosmetic, candle, coating, polish etc... The aim of this project is to determine the effect of solvent extraction (petroleum ether and ethanol) on Tunisian esparto wax composition. The GC-MS was applied in order to determine the waxes compositions. Then, physicochemical parameters of these two samples of waxes: acid value, saponification value, iodine value and melting point were measured in order to deduct their properties and possible fields of uses. Results showed that esparto wax composition depended on the solvent extraction and that major components of the two samples of waxes were: alkanes, esters of fatty acids and phenols. Furthermore, esparto waxes were characterized by an antioxidant and antibacterial activities but t...

This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Information and Knowledge Systems, ICIKS 2021, which was held online during June 22-23, 2021.The International Conference on Information and Knowledge Systems (ICIKS 2021) gathered both researchers and practitioners in the fields of Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Knowledge Management and Decision Support. ICIKS seeks to promote discussions on various organizational, technological, and socio-cultural aspects of research in the design and use of information and knowledge systems in organizations. The 10 full and 2 short papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 32 submissions. They were organized in topical sections as follows: knowledge systems and decision making; machine learning, recommender systems, and knowledge systems; and security, artificial intelligence, and information systems

In this paper, we suggest to add a key factor driving Information System (IS) value deriving from business process change, thanks to knowledge capturing within a project of development of a unified information system. In the following section, we propose a method to identify company group knowledge used within a project regarding information systems governance, to be transferred and applied to all the companies of a corporation. Then we present an empirical evidence using BPM as an improvement strategy for IS value

In this paper we propose a non compensatory aggregation model based on two reference points: the aspiration point and the reservation point in order to automate the resolution of conflicts between decision makers for identifying knowledge that need to be capitalized. We follow a multi-agent system based on a mediator agent. This new approach allows to elicit preferences of decision makers which can be different while exploiting their multiple points of view to identify organizational knowledge to be acquired, preserved and transferred.

In this paper, we propose an argumentative approach aiming at automating conflicts resolution between decision makers which have contradictory preferences while exploiting their multiple points of view to identify "crucial knowledge" that needs to be capitalized in a company. This approach relies on Dominance-based Rough Set Approach (DRSA) and Argumentation theory to define strategic interactions based on a communication protocol and strategies allowing decision makers to exchange and evaluate arguments and counter-arguments in order to realize a considerable mutual impact on their different preferences and to come, thus, to an agreement. Experiments proved that our approach can solve until 81% of the detected conflicts. In case of failure, it improves the quality of classifications made by decision makers with an improvement rate of 0.62 for a receiving decision maker and 0.15 for an initiator.

This paper deals with post-accident nuclear impact management. The main objective of the paper is to propose a multicriteria evaluation approach for characterizing the different districts of the affected area in terms of their vulnerability levels while taking into account multiple stakeholders having contradictory objectives and priorities. The proposed approach contains four phases: (i) identifying the stakes involved, (ii) identification of representative criteria, (iii) quantifying criteria scores, and (iv) group multicriteria classification. The last phase uses an output-oriented strategy to combine the perspectives of stakeholders. A decision support system supporting the approach has been developed. The approach is validated using real-world data relative to a nuclear risk management decision problem.

In this paper we propose a multiagent framework for group multicriteria classification. We present in particular the classification of organizational knowledge problem. The idea is to identify knowledge that should be preserved and valorized in the organization. Our approach is based on a multiagent theory to represent classification actors by intelligent agents that communicate autonomously in order to make a collaborative group decision.

In this paper we present a mediating algorithm to provide a conflict resolution in the knowledge management system K-DSS which is a decision support system for identifying crucial knowledge. In the knowledge base of K-DSS, inconstancies can appear because of conflicts between decision makers evolved in the process of identification of crucial knowledge. Our objective is to solve conflicts by

Abstract. We propose an approach based on DRSA (Dominancebased Rough Set Approach) method for synthesizing preference information of multiple decision makers in a multicriteria classification problem. The proposed approach takes as input a common information table and generates a set of collective decision rules representing a generalized description of the preference information of the decision makers.

Abstract. Capitalizing on company’s knowledge is increasingly being recognized in a private organizations environment since managing knowledge productivity is considered a source of competitive advantage. In this paper we present a generalization of GAMETH framework, that play an important role in identifying crucial knowledge used and created in innovative product design process. Thus, we have developed a method based on three phases. In the first phase, we have used GAMETH to identify the set of “reference knowledge”. During the second phase, decision rules are inferred, through rough sets theory, from decision assignments provided by the decision maker(s). In the third phase, a multicriteria classification of “potential crucial knowledge ” is performed on the basis of the decision rules that have been collectively identified by the decision maker(s).

The paper proposes a two-phase methodology to support groups in multicriteria classification problems. The first phase, which relies on a dominance-based rough set approach (DRSA), takes a set of assignment examples as input and outputs a set of collective decision rules, representing a generalized description of the decision makers' preference information. The second phase then applies these collective decision rules to classify all decision objects. The methodology uses ''if ... then ...'' aggregation rules that coherently implement the majority principle and veto effect. The aggregation rules thus allow obtaining consensual decisions. Furthermore, the contribution of each decision maker to the collective decision is objectively measured by the quality of individual classification conducted by this decision maker during the first phase. The methodology has been validated by developing a prototype and applied to a nuclear risk management decision problem.
