The development of Urdu recognition is key element of research as it provides an efficient and natural way of input to the computer. This paper presents a framework based on Urdu layout and recognition of handwritten digits and text images by using different techniques. After the survey on Urdu documents the following conclusion is made regarding the Data set, Techniques and algorithms that the most widely used technique is HMM and Data set involves the training set which contains different image styles and sizes and also hand written text.
