    El objetivo del siguiente trabajo es generar un ranking a partir de los datos consultados del 2009 de los Ministerios de Economía y Hacienda o en su caso de Finanzas de los países de Iberoamérica más transparentes en divulgar información económico-financiera a nivel on-line. Para ello, se propone como propuesta metodológica un cuestionario e índices de transparencia de la divulgación de información en el entorno económico y financiero. Entre los principales hallazgos, podemos mencionar que los Ministerios de México, España y Chile salieron como los mejores valorados, sin embargo, Panamá y Honduras fueron los menos transparentes en divulgar dicha información

    The virtual acoustic reality techniques are powerful tools for the recovery of acoustical heritage of historic buildings. Through the acoustic modeling and auralization techniques it´s possible to reconstruct the sound of disappeared buildings or the ones with significant modifications over the years, knowing the original geometry and the acoustic characteristics of their surfaces. This paper shows the results of a research project whose goal is the virtual recovery of the sound of the Hispanic Rite, the rite celebrated by Christians of the Iberian Peninsula before the imposition of the Roman Rite in the mid-eleventh century. For this purpose, acoustic models of a series of Pre-Romanesque churches were made. These acoustic models represent the churches in their original state, following the reconstruction hypothesis proposed by leading researchers in medieval liturgical archeology.     Eutrophication in coastal lagoons is one of the environmental problems that have attracted more interest in the scientific community in recent years. Eutrophication models that exist in the current state of the art have been developed to be applied to various types of water bodies, but in the case of coastal lagoons they exhibit deficiencies due to the simplification of some important processes such as silica or iron limitation of phytoplankton growth. The EnvHydrEM model has been developed in order to respond to these deficiencies. The model takes into account a total of nineteen state variables including phytoplankton, carbon (total inorganic carbon and sediment carbon), phosphorus (organic phosphorus and phosphate), nitrogen (organic nitrogen, ammonia and nitrate), silica (available dissolved silica and particulate biogenic silica), dissolved oxygen, carbonaceous organic matter, zooplankton, bacterioplankton, detritus, iron (total iron and ferrous iron) and manganese (total manga...

    ABSTRACT Power plants use seawater for cooling. This process generates thermal brine dis-charges in the marine environment. The initial dilution of these discharges is studied through semi-empirical or empirical models, accepting a large number of simplifications. The phenomena involved in this fluid dynamic problem can be analyzed with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) solving the three dimensional fluid motion general equations. This approach allows to study the local dilution processes and the effluent dispersion from a global perspective. In this paper, this technique has been implemented to study the discharge of a power plant in Gijón (Northern Spain). Finally, the results were compared with those given by the semi-empirical model CORMIX.

    The study gives the results of the measurements of the reverberation time in 11,687 rooms, of which 11,457 are furnished (8,246 bedrooms, 3,211 living rooms), and 230 unfurnished. All the rooms have thick walls and ceilings, and a heavy floor covering. The reverberation times measured are quite similar in bedrooms and living rooms within the same size range, and decrease fairly uniformly as the frequency increases. Moreover, in each frequency band the greater the volume of the room, the greater the reverberation time. The results of this extensive fieldwork allow us to predict accurately the reverberation time in these kinds of spaces as a function of their size and the frequency. These data may be useful for improving the accuracy of calculation models to estimate the reverberation time of enclosed spaces. The equivalent sound absorption area of these rooms was also calculated.

    The electron affinities of beryllium and magnesium tetramers are calculated at the ROMP2 level employing the Dunning-type aug-cc-pVQZ basis set. The vertical electron detachment energy (VEDE) amounts to 1.685 eV for Be4- and 0.943 eV for Mg4 . The decomposition of the VEDE into physical components and an atomic orbital population analysis are used to elucidate the nature of the outer electron binding in these anions. [Figure: see text]. The lowest unoccupied molecular orbitals in the ground state of Mg4 : a LUMO, symmetry A1, b LUMO + 1, symmetry T2; c the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO), symmetry A1 in the ground state of Mg4-.

    Knowledge of the uncertainty of measurement of testing results is important when results have to be compared with limits and specifications. In the measurement of sound insulation following standards ISO 140-4 and 140-5 the uncertainty of the final magnitude is mainly associated to the average sound pressure levels L1 and L2 measured. However, the study of sound fields in enclosed spaces is very difficult: there are a wide variety of rooms with different sound fields depending on factors as volume, geometry and materials. A parameter what allows us to quantify the spatial variation of the sound pressure level is the standard deviation of the pressure levels measured at the different positions of the room. Based on the analysis of this parameter some results have been pointed out: we show examples on the influence of the microphone positions and the wall characteristics on the uncertainty of the final magnitudes mainly at the low frequencies regime.
