A dictatorial process started half a century ago (1964), a sad memory for Brazilians. This time period has profoundly affected Brazilian’s and Latin America’s histories. This piece of reality is recorded in artistic and non-artistic discourses that can, from a distant perspective, revive and establish shadows and scraps woven by torn memory and amalgamated with letters and dashes that by being living signs from the past resonate in the present. This period continues motivating works that try to understand its complexity, strength and the different forms of resistance produced at that time. In this scenario, a set of discourses reveals an aesthetic pursuit, an unusual discursive network constituted by pieces taken from daily language, employed in different spheres of activity and mobilized as radical and aggressive ways to arrange painful and difficult contents. In large measure, this is the attempt to circumvent the monologism of the dominant discourse produced in the cellars of power and disseminated in the form of necessary progress to a desired order. This presentation goal is to regard Zero, a classicbook from 1970’s written by Loyola Brandão, from a dialogical perspective of discourse, based on Bakhtin’s thought. This book presents discourses of resistance in a clear attempt to subvert language in order to pursue a verbal and a verbal-visual expression that better suits the new reality established by the years of lead. The book will not be entirely analyzed, but its initial set, delimited between the subtitle, the final verses of a poem by the Portuguese Alexandre O’Neill and the first two pages. The idea argued here is that these elements work as a metonymy of the forms of discourse mobilization that enable, throughout the book, the introduction of different voices that in a fragmented way reflect and refract the Brazilian reality of that moment.

Este artigo procura discutir algumas questoes ligadas ao ensino de lingua, dentro e fora da sala de aula, tendo como objetivo salientar a concepcao de linguagem que, ao multiplicar as formas de acesso ao que num determinado momento se considera a "verdadeira" lingua, muitas vezes se distancia das formas vivas insinuadas nos diferentes usos. Levando em conta uma postura que justamente considera a complexidade constitutiva da natureza linguistica, manifestada na relacao que se estabelece entre as dimensoes historicamente constituidas - sujeitos, atividades, linguagens -, a tematica do imaginario linguistico serve de motivo para especificar o que se esta entendendo aqui por "ensino de lingua dentro e fora da sala de aula" num contexto brasileiro contemporâneo.

This article contributes to the ongoing research on Bakhtin and the Circle"s possible contribution to the reading, the analysis and the interpretation of different modes of meaning production and meaning effect from texts whose main mark is the constitutive verbal-visual relation, that is, the articulation between the linguistic dimension – whether oral or written – and the image. If separate studies on the verbal dimension or the visual dimension have a long and respectful tradition in several knowledge areas, currently presenting expressive and rigorous studies, the verbal-visual language condition also stands in a place of privilege today as a recurrent social, cultural and discursive production and, thus, as a study object per se. Resumo Este artigo é resultado parcial de um projeto maior que busca compreender a recepção e as particularidades assumidas pelo pensamento bakhtiniano no Brasil desde sua introdução, nos anos 1970, até os dias atuais. Para isso, analisa os textos que emolduram as traduções e (re)traduções brasileiras da obra bakhtiniana, examinando quais relações dialógicas (valorativas) podem ser observadas nesses textos-moldura: com quem dialogam e a quem se dirigem no momento de sua publicação. Este trabalho analisa a recepção brasileira aos ensaios de Estética da criação verbal, nas edições de 1992 e de 1997, na (re)tradução de 2003 e, ainda, nas publicações posteriores, 2016 e 2017. Os textos-moldura de cada uma dessas edições mostram como a recepção, inicialmente inserida na tradição e continuidade de um momento científico acadêmico europeu e internacional, ao longo de quatro décadas firma-se institucionalmente, revelando novos modos de ler e fazer circular a perspectiva dialógica do discurso...
