Multi-agent systems have been widely used in the literature, including for the monitoring of distributed systems. However, one of the unresolved issues in this technology remains in the reassignment of the responsibilities of monitoring agents when some of them become unable to meet their obligations. This paper proposes a new approach for solving this problem based on (a) the gathering of evidence on whether the agent can or cannot fulfil the tasks it has been assigned and (b) the reassignment of the task to alternative agents using their trust level as a selection parameter. A weather station case study is proposed as an instantiation of the proposed model.

In Agent Mediated Electronic Commerce, autonomy of agents is an important property. On one hand, it has to be favored to make the agents able to determine and adapt their own goals to the dynamic and open environment in which they are situated. On the other hand, it has to be controlled and limited to get a coherent and fruitful behavior in the system. In this paper we present a model of contract aiming at managing the cooperation between agents and at imposing a social order in the system : agents involved in a contract have to respect constraints related to others agents or to the society. This paper combines these notions with those of electronic contract in order to integrate agents within an eCommerce platform.

The eCommerce domain needs more and more automation, speed and security for its cus- tomers. That's why the number of B2B applications handling electronic contracts and digital signatures is still increasing. These ones are based on certiflcates and use secure communication protocols. Nevertheless most of them don't take into account negotiation regarding to contracts clauses and arbitration of potential con∞icts. In the Multi-Agent System (MAS) domain contract notion exists too. Social contracts make social control and management of cooperation between agents possible. This paper will consist in combining notions of electronic contract and social contract in order to integrate agents within an eCommerce platform for the automation and au- tonomous negotiation of electronic contracts terms. We experiment our proposal in the context of secure eBusiness application trading intangible assets where we consider a speciflc business case related to the translation sector.

The main focus of this paper is to provide a global architectural solution built on the requirements fo r a reaction after alert detection mechanisms in the frame of Information Systems Security and more particularly applied to t elecom infrastructures security. These infrastructures are distributed in nature, therefore the targeted architecture is deve loped in a distributed perspective and is composed of three ba sic layers: low level, intermediate level and high level. The low l evel is dedicated to be the interface between the main architecture a nd the targeted infrastructure. The intermediate level is responsible of correlating the alerts coming from different domains of the infrastructure and to deploy smartly the reaction a ctions. This intermediate level is elaborated using multi-agents system that provide the advantages of autonomous and interaction facilities. The high level permits to have a supervision view of the whole infrastructure, and to manage business policy defi...

In current applications, social and organizatio- nal aspects of agency are major issues to control the autonomy of the agents. Even if their en- actment concern the agent level, we think, in this paper, that tools and frameworks are nee- ded to control and regulate the overall functio- ning of the agents. This paper presents a nor- mative organization infrastructure composed of a normative organization modeling language MOISEInst used to define the normative orga- nization of a MAS, accompanied with SYNAI, a normative organization implementation archi- tecture which is itself regulated with an explicit normative organization specification expressed with MOISEInst.
