We are welcoming papers for a special issue of Academia Biology that focuses on international research in ecology ✔to reflect the importance of interactions and interdependence between biological species ✔. This interconnectivity is particularly relevant to global biodiversity that supports the evolution of biological species ✔ while physical changes on a global scale affect the viability of dynamic ecosystems ✔. We are selecting a broad set of manuscripts ✔ that are directly or indirectly linked to research efforts aimed at improving the environment ✔, managing natural resources ✔, and protecting human health.

Danes živi na svetu sedem vrst morskih želv, ki pripadajo dvema družinama. Šest jih uvrščamo v družino CheloniidaeII, sedmo pa med Dermochelyidae. Spadajo med ogrožene vrste in vsem grozi izumrtje. Vse svoje življenje preživijo v morju. Izjema so samice, saj na kopnem ležejo le jajca.
