The objective of this article is to analyze the suffering of the students and their relations to the university dynamics and work. We preliminarily present theoretical considerations about the suicide and the pact of silence about the relation suicide-work. We relate the psychosocial aspects of the suffering and illness of teachers and students. The analysis methodology of the specificities and convergences of these was the collating among theoretical propositions, research about teachers’ work and description and analysis of interventions of postventions in a case of student suicide. We point to the material and relationship fragility of students’ living experiences, as well as to the promotion and prevention of the students’ mental health. We concluded that the intensification of the student suffering results in vulnerability to the suicide attempts and in the increase of its risks.
