В статье представлен обзор интернационального научно-исследовательского проекта культурологического исследования города, инициированного и проведенного Самарским государственным медицинским университетом и российско-немецким объединением культурологов «Globalia» г. Дюссельдорфа. Сделан акцент на последнем событии проекта – конференции в мае этого года в Театральном музее Дюссельдорфа и предшествующем ей издании альманаха. Это событие проекта значимо теоретическим анализом культурной хронотопии российских городов-миллионеров и мировых столиц, визуально яркой презентацией пространства российских и европейских городов в изданном альманахе.Ключевые слова: культурологическая урбанистика, хронотоп города, городская повседневность, город как сцена культуры

The article considers important media features of modern aesthetics that significantly affect the change in its scientific status. The article analyzes aesthetic and artistic significance of Gustav Klimt’s paintings, which brought his oeuvre on the top of the art market in the early 21 st century. Starting from the socio-cultural characteristics of the Austro-Hungarian Empire at the turn of the 20 th century, the author demonstrates that a unique aesthetic phenomenon of Klimt’s art and its subsequent appreciation in the 20 th century culture constituted a symbolic capital that continues to determine the role of his paintings in the 21 st century. In combining cultural studies and philosophical aesthetics, the author is able to shed light on the phenomenon of contemporary art, on the relation of aesthetic value and art market price, and on the ways the art objects of the past function in contemporary culture.   Keywords: transition-transforming culture, Vienna Secession, contemporary art, aesthetic value and art market price.
