New Snapshot: Skills of young adults by education and work status (PIAAC 2017) (July 17, 2024)
Eleven percent of U.S. young adults, ages 16-24, were neither in education nor employed in 2017. Some of these young adults had low literacy (20%) and/or low numeracy (39%) skills in English.

2023-24 Common Core of Data (CCD) Preliminary Directory Data Release (July 8, 2024)
2023-24 Common Core of Data (CCD) Preliminary Directory Files are now available. These files are the product of the CCD data collection for the 2023-24 school year. Data were submitted by states and jurisdictions in spring 2024 and all district- and school-level data are based on a snapshot date of October 1, 2023. These preliminary files include directory information and some limited attributes about the school or district, such as type, operational status, the lowest and highest grade offered, and whether a school is a charter school.
