Morton Smith (28 Mei 1915 – 11 Juli 1991)[1][2] adalah seorang profesor sejarah kuno Amerika Serikat di Columbia University. Ia dikenal karena dikabarkan menemukan surat Mar Saba, sebuah surat yang diatribusikan kepada Klemens dari Aleksandria yang berisi Injil Rahasia Markus, saat mengunjungi biara di Mar Saba pada 1958.
