William Earl Brown (lahir 7 September 1963) adalah aktor penulis skenario, produser, dan musisi berkebangsaan Amerika Serikat. Namanya dikenal secara luas melalui perannya sebagai Dan Dority dalam serial produksi HBO berjudul Deadwood. Dia juga bermain sebagai Kenny di film produksi tahun 1996 berjudul Scream dan Warren dalam film There's Something About Mary tahun. Selain itu, dia juga menyulih suara untuk karakter Bill dalam permainan video horor Naughty Dog tahun 2013, The Last of Us. Brown juga tampil dalam serial American Crime, Preacher, dan film kriminal karya Johnny Depp berjudul Black Mass (2015).
Latar belakang
[sunting | sunting sumber]Brown pindah ke Chicago ketika menerima MFA-nya dari DePaul University Theatre School tahun 1989.[1][2] Setelah tampil di beberapa pertunjukan drama, termasuk A View from the Bridge, Brown mulai berkarya di ranah Televisi dan Film. Dia tampil di beberapa produksi Chicago seperti Backdraft, The Babe, Excessive Force, Rookie of the Year dan lainnya.[3]
Tahun1993, Brown pindah ke Los Angeles. Dia mengikuti audisi dan diterima sebagai pemain dalam film Wes Craven's New Nightmare. Dia juga bermain sebagai pemeran sampingan dalam Vampire in Brooklyn, dan Scream. Dua tahun kemudian, Brown bermain dalam film komedi arahan Warren berjudul There's Something About Mary. Film lain yang mencatat namanya antara lain Being John Malkovich, Vanilla Sky, Dancing at the Blue Iguana, The Alamo, dan The Big White. Tahun 2009, Brown menulis skenario dan memprodusri Bloodworth.
