يتناول الكتاب تطوير استخدام مواد البناء كمدخل لتحقيق العمارة المستدامة في مصر. ويحتوي الكتاب على ... more يتناول الكتاب تطوير استخدام مواد البناء كمدخل لتحقيق العمارة المستدامة في مصر. ويحتوي الكتاب على خمسة أبواب وتشمل جزأين رئيسيين، الأولي الدراسة النظرية تبدأ بدراسة مفاهيم العمارة المستدامة ومبادئها ومعايير تحقيقها بالإضافة إلى أنظمة تقييمها، ثم يتناول الباب الثاني دراسة مواد البناء وخصائصها الطبيعية واستخدامها في البناء يلي ذلك التعرف على مفاهيم وخصائص مواد البناء المستدامة. والباب الثالث الدراسة التحليلية لمجموعة مختارة من المشروعات المعمارية العالمية، يليها الباب الرابع ويشمل تحليل مجموعة من المباني المحلية في مصر. ويحتوي الباب الخامس على النتائج العامة والتوصيات الهامة التي تهدف إلى المساهمة في تحقيق استدامة البناء في مصر.

Since creation began, human beings was surrounded by nature and it's the main teacher and guide f... more Since creation began, human beings was surrounded by nature and it's the main teacher and guide for us in many parts of life, including the field of architecture, as simulating nature that means (Biomimicry) is using innovative methods to reach sustainable buildings, it's a new science that investigates nature's greatest idea. The main objective of this paper is to abstract a set of the best standards for simulating nature to have a specific model that can be followed to reach an innovative, sustainable building that adapts to different conditions and evolve to survive and knowing the impact of these criteria to the building efficiency through presenting an international and local case-studies and applying biomimicry criteria on them then making a questionnaire to a group of specialists. and applying them to create creative and sustainable solutions for industry and research.

The global interest in energy and its relation to the construction sector that consider the most energy consuming sectors, which led to a search for methods of energy conservation. Research assumes a methodology to apply the modern technology in buildings and gaining advantages of developed building materials, outer envelopes, and conserve energy systems to reduce energy waste and increase its efficiency by integrating natural and renewable energy applications. This methodology could be applied to buildings during the design phase to achieve energy rationalization.
