This paper compares the marketing strategies taken in Europe and the United States for the 2005 Jet Li film titled UNLEASHED (in the US) and DANNY THE DOG (in Europe). I argue that the different strategies correspond with a long history of cinematic tradition in each country.
I developed this course to focus on the history of cinema in Mainland China with equal emphasis on not only the films, filmmakers, and movements, but the country's political, cultural, and social history as well.
