This chapter discusses how work-integrated learning can support ongoing development across workin... more This chapter discusses how work-integrated learning can support ongoing development across working life. Its key focus is on how the educational needs arising from changing occupational requirements and the ongoing employability of workers can be best addressed through integrating experiences in practice and educational settings. It proposes that, in educational settings, curriculum and pedagogic practices that make accessible and elaborate knowledge that may well be remote or inaccessible in practice are likely to be most effective. That is, augmenting experiences in practice settings, through curriculum and pedagogic practices.
