🔐 Security Policy

Reporting a Vulnerability

If you discover a security vulnerability in Text Forge, please do not create a public issue. Instead, report it privately to the maintainer:

We appreciate responsible disclosure and will work with you to address the issue quickly and transparently.

Supported Versions

We currently support the latest stable release of Text Forge. Other versions may not receive security updates.

Security Updates

Security updates are released annually, but if an immediate vulnerability is identified, we may release one even a month after the previous security update.

Security Best Practices

As user, please use latest version for safer experience.

While contributing to Text Forge, please:

  • Avoid introducing hardcoded credentials or sensitive data
  • Sanitize input and avoid unsafe dynamic evaluations
  • Follow principles of the least privilege in scripts and modes
  • Run thorough tests before merging features that affect file access, networking, or input parsing
